Description
The MEB Electricity Centre is a building that likely dates from the 18th century but underwent significant alterations during the mid-19th to early 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble and features a Cotswold stone roof. The building stands two storeys tall with an attic and has three windows on the front facade. The ground floor has been modified and re-fenestrated, showcasing three-light stone mullion and transom windows, with the leftmost window set in a lean-to projection and a modern glazed door in the center. The first floor features plain 19th-century sash windows set in stone frames. The roof is steeply pitched and includes two gabled dormers. The rear of the building has been altered but shows signs of having had a former one-and-a-half storey design. This building is included for its group value.
