Description
Holly Cottage is a detached cottage located in Bourton-on-the-Hill, originally built in the 18th century and altered in the 19th century. The cottage is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a limestone slate roof that features limestone gable coping and both ashlar and brick stacks. It has a rectangular plan with a later outshut added at the rear. The symmetrical facade has two storeys and a garret, with a two-window arrangement featuring 2-light wood casements. The central door is a part-glazed plank door from the 20th century. The left gable end includes 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casements for the garret and first floor, respectively. The right gable end showcases flat limestone gable coping with a roll-cross saddle, and there is a brick stack on the right gable end along with a single ashlar stack from the eaves on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
