Description
Number 2, Dale Street is a 16th-century block that has been incorporated into the right side of two mid-19th century cottages. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and features modern tiled roofs that are set at different pitches. It stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical arrangement of windows, with two on each side. The windows are modern casements fitted into 19th-century openings, with a segment-headed window to the right and a doorway situated between them. To the right of the left-hand cottage, there is a Tudor-arched passage entrance, and to the left of this entrance, a three-light mullioned window with drips can be found, featuring a chamfered mullion in a rebated surround. The earlier left-hand part of the building is included in the listing.
