Description
Number 6, incorporating the former Number 8, is a cottage from the 17th or 18th century, positioned at right angles to Church Hill in Castor. The building has been significantly restored and is constructed from coursed stone rubble. It features a modern concrete tile roof with gabled ends, and the south end is dated 1649. The cottage has one storey and an attic, with three modern flat-roof dormers. On the ground floor, there are three modern casement windows and a central door, all with stone lintels that include keyblocks. Brick chimney stacks are located at both gable ends.
