Description

The John Wilson monument, dated 1735, is located about 1 metre south of the Josiah Dyer monument in Compton Abdale Village. This headstone is made of limestone and stands approximately 40 centimeters tall. It features a horse-shoe shape with a raised margin surrounding the inscription, which is presented in a primitive script. The back of the monument is chamfered, making it notable for its unique shape.
