Description

This dovecote, located approximately 50 meters north-west of Daglingworth Manor, is believed to be of medieval origin. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof with a circular plan. On the east side, there is a low plank door with a timber lintel, and a single band runs about 1 meter below the eaves. The dovecote has a conical roof that includes two slate-hung gabled roof dormers, which were designed for the access of doves. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to contain a revolving ladder, as mentioned by D. Verey in "The Buildings of England: The Cotswolds" published in 1979.
