Description
Hallery House is a villa, now functioning as a hotel, built around 1820 to 1850. It features a stucco exterior over a brick structure and has a hipped slate roof. The building is two storeys high with a basement and has three first-floor windows. The stucco detailing includes full-height fluted Ionic pilasters at the corners and between the windows. The windows are primarily 1/1 horned sashes, with some original 6/6 sashes remaining at the returns and rear, all set in plain reveals with sills. There is a first-floor band, and the central solid porch is supported by two pairs of Ionic columns, featuring a frieze, cornice, and blocking course, along with a part-glazed door and overlight, and round-arched windows on either side. The wide eaves add to the overall design. The right return of the building has a full-height bow and similar stucco detailing. The interior has not been inspected.
