Description

Lower Noverton Farmhouse is a detached house dating to the 17th century, which was heavily restored in the 20th century. It is constructed with square-panelled timber framing, with rendered panels having a rustic surface. The walls are built upon a limestone plinth and feature large blocks of coursed, squared, and dressed limestone. The roof is covered in stone slate and includes ashlar stacks. The house follows a 'T'-shaped plan, standing two storeys high with an attic. The windows are 20th-century two-light wood casements with glazing bars. A flat-roofed porch sits in the angle of the building's ranges, incorporating a 20th-century panelled door. Gable-end and axial stacks are present, one with a moulded capping. The interior has not been inspected.
