Description

The property comprises gates, gate piers, and boundary walls dating from the early 19th century. The gate piers are constructed of ashlar and are panelled with moulded caps. The boundary walls are approximately 1.5 metres high, built of brick, and have ramped stone coping. These walls extend approximately 15 metres on the north side and 5 metres on the south side, curving to meet the gate piers. The cast-iron gates feature lancet bars and dog bars, with a ramped design towards the centre. The gates, piers and walls form a significant feature of the streetscape and contribute to the setting of Hamilton House.
