Description

The walls to a slurry pit, located about 20 meters north of West Raddon Farmhouse, date from the 19th century. They are constructed of stone rubble and are built into the slope of the land, featuring a retaining wall on the west side and lower walls on the other sides. The west wall, made of large blocks of stone, may be older than the other walls. This structure is an unusual survival of a slurry pit situated in the center of a farmyard and is included for its group value with the surrounding farmyard buildings.
