Description

The garden wall and gate piers located to the south-east of Essington House date from around 1830 to 1840. The wall is constructed from roughly coursed sandstone rubble and features flat coping stones. The gate piers are made of sandstone ashlar with chamfered edges and have moulded, weathered octagonal caps. Additionally, the wall includes two smaller doorways with 4-centred arches for pedestrian access.
