Pixon Cottage is an early 19th-century former toll-house. It is a two-storey octagonal building that is slate hung, featuring an octagonal hipped roof with a central chimney. There is also a one-storey section attached to the southeast. The cottage has wooden casement windows and a porch with a segmental hood.
