Description

The tombchest of John Hartmason is located 5 meters southwest of the tower of the parish church in Dunterton. It dates from the late 18th century and features a reset slate lid that is inscribed with the name John Hartmason, yeoman, and the year 1831. The tombchest is made of ashlar stone and has a moulded stone base and cornice. The lid is wider than the chest itself.
