Description

The Hartland monument, located about 5 yards east of the chancel of the Church of St James, is a chest tomb commemorating John Hartland, who died in 1681. It is constructed of ashlar and features a moulded plinth and capping. The monument is adorned with large gadrooned corner balusters and raised panels that have enriched borders.
