Ark Cottage is a probably 18th-century cottage, altered and now situated with its ground floor below street level. It is a two-story building with two sash windows on each floor, featuring exposed frames and altered glazing bars. Above the centrally recessed entrance is a blank panel. The roof is covered with machine tiles. The building forms part of a group of listed buildings in Myrtle Street.
