Description

The barn immediately to the north of Mon's Hall dates from the 17th century. It features plastered cob and rubble walls topped by a hipped slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan with a central threshing floor and is a single storey. The symmetrical front includes a central cart entrance that retains its original chamfered wooden doorframe. There are slit openings on either side of the entrance, with the left-hand one incorporating a medieval trefoiled wooden light, which is only visible from the inside and is likely reused from the farmhouse or an earlier house. Additionally, there are plain slit openings on both end walls and the rear wall, which has an opposing cart entrance. The interior has a 20th-century A-frame roof.
