Description

Little Hill Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with an early 19th-century extension on the right. It is constructed of rendered stone and cob, topped with a gabled thatch roof. The building features a 20th-century brick ridge stack, which was originally at the end, along with a left end stack. The cottage has a two-unit plan that has been extended to a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a three-window range.

A 20th-century door is set in a 20th-century lean-to porch on the left. To the right of the porch, there is a round arch over a 20th-century window in the original doorway. The windows are primarily late 19th-century three-light casements, with a similar 20th-century casement located in the centre of the ground floor. Additionally, there is a 20th-century extension at the rear right of the cottage.

Inside, the central room features an 18th-century open fireplace with a cloam oven. The roof structure includes an 18th-century four-bay A-frame roof with pegged collars, along with a similar early 19th-century two-bay roof.
