Description
The Denis Monument is a headstone located in the churchyard, approximately 3 meters southeast of the south porch of the Church of St George in Monkleigh. This late 17th-century monument features a square slate slab that is inscribed around the edges. It commemorates Rowland Denis, who died in 1691, and is noted as an early example of its kind.
