Description
Lockshill is a house dating from the later 17th century that was modernised in the late 20th century. It features plastered cob walls and a hipped thatch roof, with a central rendered rubble axial stack topped by a brick shaft. The building has a two-room plan, with both rooms heated by the central stack. As of May 1987, comprehensive modernisation was underway, including the construction of a long outshut at the rear. The exterior is two storeys high and has a regular front with four windows, featuring late 20th century small-paned two-light casements. There are two part-glazed doors, located towards the left and right ends of the façade. Inside, there are open fireplaces with rough cambered wooden lintels, and chamfered cross beams that may have been added in the 20th century.
