Description

Greencliff Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was extended, altered, and had its roof pitch widened in the late 19th century. The exterior is colourwashed render over coursed slatestone rubble, with a gabled slate roof. A 17th-century stone ridge stack with a drip course is on the left, and a late 19th-century brick stack is at the right end. The building has a three-unit plan, with the main entrance to the left of the central hall. A 19th-century bay was added to the left. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a four-window front. It features flat rendered arches over a 20th-century half-glazed door to the left of the centre and over late 19th-century casement windows with glazing bars. A 19th-century extension to the rear is built from similar materials and has a hipped roof. Although an interior inspection was not possible, it is noted to contain a 17th/18th-century A-frame roof.
