Description

Nos 1 and 1A on One End Street in Appledore are probably early 19th century corner houses featuring a rounded angle. The buildings are finished in whitened stucco and stand two stories tall. No 1 has a wide, two-light curved sash window on the first floor, with a plain entrance below. The eaves board is moulded to follow the curve of the building. It has a hipped slate roof. No 1A features two sash windows with exposed frames, glazing bars, and architraves, along with a mid-19th century stucco doorcase that includes consoles. Nos 1 and 1A are part of a group that includes Nos 3 to 7 (odd), 7A, 9 to 25 (odd), and Nos 2 to 30 (even), as well as the listed buildings in Market Street.
