Description

The National Westminster Bank, located at No 2 and No 2A Bude Street in Appledore, is an early to mid 19th century building. It is two storeys high with a five-window front made of rusticated stucco. The building features Ionic pilasters on the sides and has a first-floor band with a key pattern that remains visible on the right half. The windows are sash style with narrow marginal panes, and there are good iron window-box rails on the first-floor windows, one of which is blank. Above the arched doorway, there is a radial-bar fanlight. The bank front has been inserted on the left half of the building. All the listed buildings on Bude Street are part of a group.
