Description

No. 5 Bude Street is a building likely dating from the mid-19th century. It is two stories high and constructed of painted stucco. The building features an ogee eaves bracket cornice. On the first floor, there are five sash windows, which have centre glazing bars, architraves, and cill brackets. The eastern side of the building has two additional sash windows on the splayed return. The ground floor has double doors on the left side, leading to an entrance that is adorned with consoles below the cornice. This entrance is part of a continuous wood shopfront that returns at the splay and is supported by ogee brackets on the entablature, with flanking pilasters that feature fluting. All the listed buildings on Bude Street are part of a group.
