Description

No. 2 New Rents is a late 18th century to early 19th century building that stands three storeys tall and is finished in stucco. It features a hipped tiled roof and a modillion cornice. The second floor has two sash windows, while the first floor includes a three-light canted bay window and a sash window with a pediment above it. The windows have vertical glazing bars only. The building also has a later 19th century shop front with pilasters. It is included for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos. 2 to 4 (even) and 4A.
