Description

No. 8 Market Street is an early 19th-century, two-storey house and shop located at the corner of Bude Street. The garden at the back has replaced a range of stalls that used to face Bude Street. The first floor features three sash windows, each with architraves and cambered heads, and a moulded cill band. The building is finished in stucco with rusticated flanks and ground floor. The mid-19th-century shop front includes wood pilasters and a bracketed entablature, with two entrances on the left, both featuring fanlights. All the listed buildings in Market Street form a group.
