Description

Dora’s House is an early to mid-19th century building on Market Street in Appledore, and has been altered since its original construction. It is two storeys high and built of painted brick. The building has an ornamental eaves cornice with consoles above pilasters that create window cases on the first floor, featuring two two-light sash windows with side glazing bars. The ground floor has an enriched entablature with coupled consoles above flanking pilasters constructed of splayed brick. Three ground floor sash windows are present, also with side glazing bars. The left-hand side contains an entrance with a fanlight. The listed buildings along Market Street form a visual group.
