Description

ROBOROUGH SS 51 NE 8/171 Range of shippons approximately 10 - metres to south-west of Great Barlington Farmhouse

GV II

Range of shippons. Probably early C18. Cob on coursed stone rubble plinth. Half- hipped corrugated-asbestos roof (formerly thatched). Plan: Range of shippons facing farmyard to north. One storey and loft. Exterior: Plank loft door to left with wooden frame and wooden lintel and ground- floor window below with c.1900 brick dressings. Ground-floor plank door to left with wooden lintel, and 2 ground-floor plank doors to right with wooden lintels and a small window between. Continuous c.1900 lean-to porch to the right-hand doorways. Interior not inspected. This range of buildings forms part of a complete farmstead group, including Great Barlington Farmhouse (q.v.) and another range of farmbuildings (q.v.).
