Description
This granary, built in the early 19th century, is located approximately 15 meters east of Great Gorwood Farmhouse, which is not included in this listing. The structure is made of coursed slatestone rubble and features a hipped roof covered with corrugated iron and scantled slate. It has a one-unit plan with two stories, built on a slope, with the first floor serving as a granary above a storeroom that is accessed from the rear. The front of the granary has steps leading up to a 20th-century door with a timber lintel above. At the rear, there are two segmental-arched doorways. Inside, the granary contains two king-post trusses. This building is included in the listing for its group value with nearby structures.
