Description

This bridge, located approximately 10 metres southwest of Hartland Abbey, carries the Abbey drive over the Abbey River. It likely dates from the 17th century or early 18th century and replaces an earlier structure. The bridge is constructed of stone rubble and features two round arches with a triangular cutwater at the center. The parapet, which probably dates from the 20th century, has half-rounded coping. A similar design is depicted in a drawing of Hartland Abbey from 1707.
