Description

Twitchen Cottage is an 18th-century house located in Huntsbaw. It is constructed of colourwashed render over stone and cob, with a gabled thatch roof and rendered end stacks. The house originally comprised two units and now has a two-storey, two-window front. A 20th-century door and lean-to porch are centrally positioned. The windows are 19th-century two-light casements with glazing bars, set within flat rendered arches. A 20th-century extension is present at the rear. Inside, an open fireplace features a chamfered bressummer and a cloam oven to the left. The principal rafters of A-frame trusses are visible at first-floor level.
