Description
The mounting block and gate posts located to the southeast of Higher Staplehill date from the mid 18th century to the mid 19th century. They are constructed from limestone rubble and granite. The mounting block features a rubblestone base that supports four granite treads. On either side of the block, there are granite gate posts. The structure is positioned at the angle between the drive entrance to Higher Staplehill on the left and a field gate at a right angle to the right.
