SX77SE A38 849-1/2/8 (South East side) Milestone at SX 7820 7170

Milestone. Mid-C18 to early C19. Short, squared upright piece of limestone with rounded top (chipped), the sides and top decorated with closely set, incised parallel lines. Inscription on face difficult to read; it seems to say FROM ASHBURTON. The mileage at the top has been weathered away.
