Description
Milestone located at SX 7820 7170, dating from the mid-18th century to early 19th century. It is a short, squared upright piece of limestone with a rounded top, which is chipped. The sides and top feature closely set, incised parallel lines. The inscription on the face is difficult to read but appears to say "FROM ASHBURTON." The mileage at the top has weathered away.
