Description
Rosemary Cottage is a small house, likely built in the 17th century or early 18th century. It has a whitewashed and rendered exterior, probably made of cob and stone rubble, and features a thatched roof that is hipped at both ends with an axial stack. The building has a single-depth plan and is 2 or 3 rooms wide, although the details of the interior layout were unclear at the time of survey in 1987 as the interior was not inspected. The exterior consists of two storeys with an asymmetrical front that has three windows. The thatch eaves are eyebrowed over the first-floor windows, and there is a thatched porch supported by posts at the left end. The front door is made of timber and dates from the 20th century, as do the timber casements with glazing bars. Although the interior was not inspected, some exposed carpentry remains visible.
