Description

Powderham Castle Bridge is a 18th-century bridge that carries the drive to Powderham Castle over the River Kenn. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick with freestone capping on the parapet. The bridge features a graceful, cambered design with three spans and segmental arches that have rusticated keystones and low cutwaters. The coped parapets curve outwards at each end and are topped with squat finials. The bridge has group value with the stables house, the lodge, and Powderham Castle.
