Description
This building is a linhay, dating from the 18th century, located directly to the south of South Wilborough Farmhouse, with pig-sties adjoining to the east. It features limestone rubble walls topped with a hipped corrugated iron roof. The linhay has a row of shippons on the ground floor, each with its own independent access, and a hay tallet on the first floor. It is two storeys high and has a regular facade with seven full-height openings that serve both the shippons on the ground floor and the tallet above. Between these openings are full-height rectangular piers made of stone rubble. The interior likely has a 19th-century roof structure with straight principals and lapped and pegged collars. Additionally, there is a row of three pig-sties projecting from the left end, featuring regularly spaced openings. This linhay is part of a traditional farm complex.
