Description
South View Cottage is a small house dating to the late 18th or early 19th century. It is characterised by colourwashed and plastered walls, likely built with a cob and stone frame, and has a thatched roof with gabled ends and end stacks. The house has a single-depth, two-room plan with a central entrance, and faces onto the street. The symmetrical three-bay front features a central front door with a thatched porch. The windows are small-paned, 19th-century two-light timber casements. The interior remains uninspected. The cottage is a traditional example of its type, standing out among the predominantly late 19th-century brick houses surrounding the parish church.
