Description
Church Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 17th century. It has rendered rubble walls and a gable-ended slate roof, with two projecting rendered lateral stacks, one at the front and one at the rear. The original layout was probably a three-room and through passage plan, but it has been significantly altered over time. The cottage is two storeys high and features a two-window front with late 19th or early 20th century two-light casements that have glazing bars. The ground floor right window has three lights. To the left of the centre, there are 20th century glazed double doors in a gabled porch. The stack projects to the right of the centre. The interior was inaccessible during the survey, but a fireplace in the front chimney was noted to have a timber, possibly moulded, lintel, and other 17th century features may still be present.
