Description

These are three cottages situated immediately north of Ford Farmhouse, likely dating to the 18th century. They are constructed from a combination of rendered cob and stone rubble, with a thatched roof that is gabled at the ends of the main block. A chimney stack is visible at the right-hand end, featuring brick shafts.

The cottages were originally planned as three adjoining units: the central cottage has a double-fronted appearance, while the outer cottages have their front doors facing towards the centre. A lower-roofed addition is attached to the right-hand cottage.

The exterior presents an asymmetrical façade, divided into a 1:2:2 window arrangement. The left-hand cottage features a thatched porch supported by posts, along with a 20th-century front door. It also has a 20th-century timber casement window with glazing bars, and smaller 19th or 20th-century casements with glazing bars. The right-hand cottage has a 20th-century front door and ground floor and first-floor 20th-century timber casement windows with glazing bars.

The interior has not been inspected, but historic features may be present, which could alter the suggested dating.
