Description
The barn, located about 10 meters west of Windout Farmhouse, is likely from the early 18th century and was re-roofed in the 19th century. It is constructed of rendered cob and features a slate roof that is hipped at the front end and gabled at the right end. The barn is a single storey and has two doorways on the front elevation, one of which has an old chamfered doorframe. There is an additional doorway on the left end and a gabled projection on the rear to the right. A corrugated iron lean-to is present on the side facing Windout Farmhouse. Inside, the barn contains 19th-century king post and strut roof trusses, with some earlier cross beams still visible. The barn runs parallel to the front of Windout Farmhouse.
