Description
The pack chest tomb, located approximately 15 metres southwest of the tower of the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Broadhempston, is a Grade II listed structure. It dates from 1739 and 1745 and is constructed from small dressed limestone blocks. The front features a slate memorial slab. The lid of the tomb has an ogee curve to the underside and is topped with a small stone cross. The slate slab on the front is inscribed in memory of Zachariah Pack, who died in 1739, and his wife Agnes.
