Description
This is a folly located about 110 metres north-west of Pitt House, built in 1841. It is constructed of stone rubble and stands two storeys tall. The structure features a round tower with battered sides and an oversailing battlemented parapet supported by block machicolations. The lower storey has cross-shaped slit windows, while the upper storey is adorned with tall, narrow round-headed windows. The interior has not been inspected. Sources for this information include the Hennock tithe map from 1840 and a lithograph of Pitt House from 1841.
