Description

3 to 9 Victoria Place is a terrace row of probably circa 1840. The properties at numbers 3 and 4 are slightly more forward than the rest. The front of the terrace has front gardens with ornamental cast iron railings set on a low front wall, along with gates featuring slender column standards and urn finials. Numbers 3 and 4 have a slate-roofed verandah supported by cast iron columns, and doors with six fielded panels and fanlights. Numbers 5 to 9 have one window each at the first floor, with some glazing bars remaining. Six-panel doors remain at numbers 5, 8 and 9; number 8 has glazed upper panels. The terrace occupies an important position on the quayside and forms a group.
