Description
The Fortescue Inn is an early 19th-century building located on Union Street. It has two storeys with a left portion featuring three windows on each floor, which have exposed frames and three-light side windows without glazing bars. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with fielded upper panels, and there is a wood ogee bracket eaves cornice above. The right portion of the building is rough plastered and whitened, with two sash windows with exposed frames on the first floor. There are also two six-panel doors and a central ground floor window with modern leading. A hanging sign is present. To the west, there is a three-storey wing that is described under Buckley Street. The Fortescue Inn and the northwest wing on Buckley Street are part of a group.
