Description
Chadders Shute is a house dating from the early 18th century, featuring rendered rubble walls that may include some cob. It has a hipped thatch roof and a brick chimney stack located at the right-hand end. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a lower rear wing that was previously an outbuilding. The main part of the house consists of a two-room layout, with a heated room on the right and a central entrance.
The exterior is two storeys high, displaying a regular front with two windows, which are 20th-century one and two-light small-paned casements. There is a porch to the left of the centre that has a 20th-century part-glazed door behind it. The long lower wing extends behind the left-hand end of the house. The interior was inaccessible during the survey, but it may still contain original features such as an open fireplace and ceiling beams.
