Description

The Adams Headstone, dated 1749, is located approximately 12 metres north of the tower of the former Church of St Mary in Dartington. This small slate headstone features a shaped head, with curved shoulders that rise to a segmental top. It has a shallow recessed band around the edge. The headstone displays good lettering in both upper and lower case, inscribed with the words "In memory of Mr Henry Adams of Tigley" along with a verse that is now much worn.
