Description
Rambler Cottage, Pickwick Cottage, and Mariner Cottage are a row of three cottages built around the early 18th century. They feature rendered rubble walls that may include some cob and have a hipped thatch roof with two axial brick stacks. Each cottage has a two-room plan, with Rambler Cottage on the left having an axial stack, while the second stack divides the other two cottages.
The cottages are two storeys high and have an asymmetrical front with five windows, mostly consisting of 20th-century two-light casements, along with two small-paned 19th-century casements on the first floor to the right. Rambler Cottage has a 20th-century gabled timber porch at its center with a panelled and glazed door behind it. Pickwick Cottage, located in the middle, features a shallow 20th-century lean-to in front with a door at its right-hand end. Mariner Cottage has a 20th-century part-glazed door at its right-hand end. The interior was inaccessible during the survey.
