Description
Devonia is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with a 19th-century addition. It has rendered rubble walls and a thatched roof that is gabled at the left end and hipped on the right. There is a projecting rubble stack with a brick shaft at the left gable end and a rendered rubble lateral stack at the front. The building has a two-room plan, likely originally featuring a through passage, with both rooms being heated. A 19th-century lean-to has been added in front of the right-hand room. The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with a 20th-century two-light casement window to the left on each floor. The lean-to at the right end has a 20th-century stable-type door with a two-light 20th-century casement window to its right. The interior was inaccessible during the survey but may include original features such as fireplaces and ceiling beams.
