Description
The Cabin is a cottage dating from the early 18th century, featuring rendered rubble walls and a thatched roof. The roof has a gable at the right-hand end and extends in a catslide over the left-hand end. There is a rendered brick stack on a rubble base at the right gable end. The building likely has a two-room plan, with a larger heated room on the right. A 19th-century outshut has been added to the left-hand end. The exterior is two storeys high, with an asymmetrical front that has one window on the upper floor and a 20th-century two-light casement window below, along with another window on the front of the lean-to. The centre features a 20th-century plank door with a thatch hood above, and there is a wide rubble buttress to the right of the door. The interior was inaccessible at the time of survey.
