Description
The Church Hall, formerly the National School, and the adjoining Master's house (No 4), along with The Gate House cottage on the opposite side, were built in 1842 and restored in 1897, although they likely have origins from the 18th century or earlier. The buildings are constructed of roughcast stone rubble and feature an asbestos slate roof with gabled and hipped ends. They are two storeys high and have a four-window range.
At the center, the school has two large sash windows on each floor and central double doors, above which is a carved stone plaque inscribed "National Schools Established August 31, 1842. Restored by Voluntary Subscription 1897." The Master's house to the right has one sash window on each floor, with the ground floor featuring thick glazing bars and a panelled and glazed door beneath a wooden lattice porch. There are rendered end chimney stacks.
To the left (south), The Gate House has 19th-century casement, sash, and bay windows, along with two large chimney stacks over the side wall.
