Description

Laurel Cottage is a 17th-century cottage and the last remaining part of a row of cottages. It is constructed from colour washed stone rubble with a roughcast end wall and features a thatched roof with gabled and half-hipped ends. The building has two storeys and a two-window range. The windows are modern metal frames with glazing bars that have replaced the original sash windows. There is a central glazed door added in the 20th century and a small rendered chimney stack at the northeast end. Inside, there are chamfered ceiling beams and a 17th-century moulded plaster decoration of roses and leaves on the ceiling.
